Prediction Analysis Mechanics

Players must predict the value of the next card in the deck. They have to decide whether this card will be higher or lower than the previous card. In some cases, players may need to decide if the next card is going to be the same or different.

Alternating Multipliers

With every new draw, players have two options: Low/Same or High/Same. Each option has its own multiplier. The most likely choice has a lower multiplier. The less likely choice has a higher multiplier.

For “Same” options, the multipliers are identical.

I’ve been testing the mobile HiLo game for as long as I’ve been playing the desktop version. And I really like it. The mobile version functions in the exact same way as the desktop one. So there’s no need to figure out other rules or gameplay.

Set Up a Betting Budget 

The first thing you need to do is to create a playing budget for the HiLo game. This creates a limit to how much money you can play with. In turn, this cuts down on how much money you can lose during the course of playing the game. 

In addition to selecting a budget size, I would also recommend figuring out the bet size for each round of the game. 

Choose Your Move Based on the Multiplier 

Not sure whether to select High or Low? Well, consider the card’s strength. Also, look at the multiplier beneath each option. 

If a card is really high like A, Q, or K, then there is a good chance that the next card is going to be of a lower rank. On the other hand, if you get a card between 2 and 7, it is most likely that the next card is going to be of a higher rank. 

When in doubt, check on the multiplier behind the High and Low option. If the multiplier is lower, it’s more likely to be the right prediction. 

Of course, remember that this game is totally random. So you can never be sure what the next card is going to be. 

Cash Out on 8

Are there 8s on both cards? Well, this can be a tricky move. This is because there is an equal chance of the next card being high or low. 

Because of this, it’s best not to take a chance. Cash out instead of making a decision. This removes any risk.

Final Verdict on HiLo

HiLo is definitely one of my favourite instant card games. I like that it’s simple, but it also requires enough prediction and skill to provide a challenge. At the same time, winning is pretty easy, especially since you can cash out of the game at any time. 

There is a level of control to this game that I really enjoy. It is a great way to safeguard your winnings while still racking up those multipliers. 

I don’t have any big complaints about this game. Sure, you don’t always get the answer right, even when it seems like the next card is going to be pretty obvious. But this is a given and an event that doesn’t occur too often.
